Focus on the Physics of Magnetic Resonance on Porous MediaERICA project - 13 PhD Marie Curie ITN-ETN Positions
13 PhD studentships funded by the European Union in advanced experimental and computational modelling
studies of the  nanoscale hydration and growth of calcium silicate and related hydrates that form the active
component of cement based materials used in applications as diverse construction and dentistry and 
also for study of water dynamics and transport within these materials. Key experimental and numerical
methods to be used include nuclear magnetic resonance relaxation analysis and imaging, electron 
microscopies, thermo gravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction, key numerical methods include 
molecular dynamic and Monte Carlo simulations.
